Leo investigates the death of a young boy whose body is found in the river. The pathologists determine that he may have been the victim of a ritual killing. As Leo's enquiries develop he discovers a link between the disappearances and one of the local churches.

Nikki investigates the apparent suicide of Father Reid when his body is discovered at a catholic school under strange circumstances.

After a horrific car accident at a funeral, a coffin is opened to reveal two bodies not one. Harry embarks on a trail in an attempt to solve the identity of the second corpse. Leo & Nikki investigate the death of a young child who died post-operatively. The pathologists follow the leads to the hospital where they find a connection between the two cases.

"Double Dare"

A car crashes, explodes into flames and the driver is subsequently burnt alive. The recovered body is thought to be that of Anna Holland, who 4 years previously, along with her with her teenage boyfriend, had been accused of a violent murder of a young mother. She was acquitted of a murder charge due to Nikki's testimony and evidence given in court, and since had been placed in a secure safe house. The case is reopened and Nikki begins to question her previous conclusions and Anna Holland's innocence.

"Peripheral Vision"

Nikki investigates when human remains, suspected to be that of a teenage girl, are found buried in an field near a traveller caravan site.

Harry is asked to review a case in a insurance dispute. The insurance company is refusing to pay out on an policy when the autopsy results show that the woman was intoxicated and likely was responsible for the fall that killed her. Her family insists that that is impossible as she was an abstainer.
